Cobalt Chloride Free !!!
Stream Peak's Environmental Gel has a
characteristic of applying environmentally,
biologically safe organic chemicals excluding
heavy metals differently from other current
indicating desiccants containing cobalt
chloride.
COLOUR CHANGE
The colour is orange in drying condition
and changes to green when absorbing
moisture. This colour-changing is distinguished
at 10 - 40% relative humidity.
After colour-changing it keeps on absorbing
moisture.
REGENERATION
Heating at about 3 hours at 100 - 130°C makes
colour change from reddish violet to deep blue
and restores original indicating and
moisture-absorbing capability.
INDICATING SUBSTANCE
According to EU Directive 98/98/EC, cobalt
chloride applied to the current Silica Gel
indicating desiccants is classified as a
carcinogen. Environmental Gel applies safe
substance as a indicator, which is not
classified as toxic according to the current EC
legislation.
